    IBC poll names quality of content as a key factor for new delivery platforms (IPTV News)

    A study conducted by AmberFin at this year’s IBC on the broadcasting industry’s perception of new delivery platforms has revealed that quality of content is perceived as a key factor in the take-up of newer delivery platforms, among other findings.
    Of those IBC attendees polled, 27% said that broadband content viewed on a PC is being used effectively by the broadcasting industry, compared to 15% of respondents naming IPTV.

    Survey Finds Improved Quality Would Increase Viewership on Emerging Broadcast Platforms (TMC Net)

    AmberFin has announced the results of a research survey conducted at the 2008 IBC conference in Amsterdam. According to this survey, the use of multiple platforms such as broadband, IPTV and mobile handsets as key drivers for the industry moving forward. Although 60 percent believe the industry has improved its knowledge and use of multiple deliver platforms in the last year, 70 percent agreed that content owners could still be distributing their content more effectively across multiple platforms.
