AmberFin launches Camera Connect

New channel offerings make best use of Avid infrastructure for workflow and cost efficiencies

AmberFin today announced the launch of Camera Connect as part of a new partner offering, available through the AmberFin channel partner program. The package make better use of the Avid infrastructure and further simplify the AmberFin iCR product proposition. This in turn enables reliable ingest for high quality content creation, as well as ingest in a live environment.

Camera Connect maximises the use of the Avid infrastructure in a live environment, using AmberFin iCR for proven live ingest reliability whilst allowing the creation of files directly into Avid storage even when editing is still taking place. AmberFin iCRs are locked to the station timecode, while live feeds are ingested directly into the shared storage. Editors can continue to work on the program while it is live to minimise wasted editing time. Tape ingest can also be supported.
